Jackson M. Bruce Jr. is a shareholder
of Dunwody White & Landon, P.A. and concentrates his practice in
planning, administration and litigation involving trusts, wills and
estates, and related taxation. Based in the Naples office, he also
serves clients in the firm's offices in Miami, Palm Beach and Hobe
Sound.
Bruce has been named one of the Best
Lawyers in America by Woodward/White, 10th Edition,
publishers of the biennial list of top lawyers, selected through
peer review. A graduate of Harvard and Cambridge, he has the added
distinction of being listed in Best Lawyers for every year of
its first 20 years of publication.
He is a fellow and served as president
of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He
served as chairman of the American Bar Association Real Property,
Probate and Trust Law Section and is also a member of the American
Law Institute and the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.
A past member of the Board of Governors of the American Bar
Association (ABA), he also served as chairman of the National
Conference of Lawyers and Corporate Fiduciaries.
He is
a member of the Joint Editorial Board for Uniform Trusts and Estates
Acts and is an advisor to the Restatement of Property 3rd,
Donative Transfers. He is a member of the International Academy of
Estate and Trust Law and a past member of its executive council.
Bruce has lectured and written on probate, trust and related tax
matters at American Bar Association National Institutes, American
College of Trust and Estate Counsel seminars, the University of
Miami Philip E. Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, Florida Bar
Attorney- Trust Officer Liaison Conference, Southwestern Legal
Foundation, USC Tax Institute, UCLA Estate Planning Institute,
Tulane Tax Institute and Georgetown Advance Planning Institute. He
is a member of the Florida and Wisconsin bar associations.
