Frank T. Adams
Frank T. Adams is a shareholder of Dunwody White & Landon, P.A. and serves clients in the Miami, Palm Beach and Naples offices.
Mr. Adams earned his LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law, after obtaining his J.D. from the University of Toledo. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Indiana University.
Mr. Adams is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), and is an active member of both the Asset Protection committee and the Family Law Task Force of ACTEC. He is Board Certified in Wills, Trust and Estates by The Florida Bar, and has served as a member and Chairman of the Florida Bar Certification Committee for Wills, Trusts and Estates. Mr. Adams has also served on the Probate Rules Committee of The Florida Bar and the Board of Legal Specialization and Education of The Florida Bar.
Mr. Adams’ practice focuses on sophisticated estate planning and administration, including estate, gift and generation-skipping taxation, planning for charitable contributions and foundations, asset protection planning and planning for distributions from IRAs and other qualified retirement plans. His experience also includes planning for closely held businesses, including formation, operation and planning for the dissolution or sale of all types of business entities. Mr. Adams counsels individuals and couples planning to move to Florida.
Mr. Adams has been recognized in “Best Lawyers in America” (since 2006) and “Super Lawyers Magazine” (since 2006), and Miami Top 100 Lawyers, by Super Lawyers Magazine (2012, 2013 and 2014). Mr. Adams holds a preeminent AV® Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Adams is a frequent lecturer on topics of estate planning and taxation, and estate administration at lectures (and seminars) sponsored by The Florida Bar, various trust companies, accounting groups and charitable organizations. He has been a lecturer at the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Adams has authored numerous articles on estate planning and administration and is a contributing author to the Basic Practice Under the Florida Probate Code, a comprehensive reference treatise published by The Florida Bar.
Mr. Adams has served as a member of the professional advisor committee for numerous charitable organizations, including the Foundation of Jewish Philanthropies of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation (past chairman), The Miami Foundation, Community Foundation of Broward and the Baptist Health Foundation. Mr. Adams is a past director of both the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami and the Estate Planning Council of Broward County.
